Where Are My Disney Fans? by Morgan Steele
Hello! I'm Morgan, a 21-year-old college junior majoring in Public Relations at UTA. I was diagnosed with mosaic Turner syndrome at age 12. Turner syndrome (TS) hasn't stopped me from accomplishing remarkable things like performing at Carnegie Hall and pursuing a college degree.
After my diagnosis I received growth hormones, which I used until I was 15, as well as estrogen and thyroid medication since my endocrinologist discovered I have Hashimoto's thyroiditis. Taking those medications, as well as meeting other incredible women with TS, has truly changed my life and allowed me to feel normal. They made me realize how thankful I was for my diagnosis, because without it I wouldn't have received the help I needed to have a better quality of life.
I will graduate from UTA in May of 2023 and hopefully participate in the Disney College Program at Walt Disney World. Who knows? Maybe I'll meet another Disney fan with Turner Syndrome while I'm there!
I love everything Disney.
