ADRIENNE MICHELLE MULLEN, age 23, is now one of God's special angels and has joined her grandmother Betty, in Heaven. Adrienne passed away suddenly early Wednesday morning, April 2nd, doing what she loved best rocking in her chair and listening to her music. She is survived by her mother Catherine Chism, father Timothy Mullen, brother Brent Mullen and grandparents Gene and Genevieve Chism. She is also survived by numerous uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins. Adrienne was blessed to have had so many special friends, teachers, doctors and co-workers in her short life. Alinda Kay Yuill, 28, of Knappa, died Saturday, Sept. 5, 2009, in Astoria, of heart-related conditions. She was born May 10, 1981, in Astoria, to John W. and Ruby R. Keller Yuill. Her parents survive, residing in Knappa. She was raised in Knappa and graduated from Knappa High School in 2000. She attended Clatsop Community College and received an associate degree in 2003. Ms. Yuill worked at a variety of jobs, including at Fred Meyer, JC Penney, Dairy Queen and lately at Clatsop Retirement Village. Family members said her hobbies included music and attending concerts, traveling, shopping, walking and exercise. She always enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Amanda Lyn Fuller, 39, Kansas City, Kansas passed away Tuesday, September 27, 2022, at her home. Amanda was born in Kansas City, Missouri on August 13, 1983, to Tom and Sherry (Ford) McCleary. She grew up in Turner and graduated from Turner High School. She attended Kansas City, Kansas Votech nursing training to become an LPN. Amanda worked as a teacher at La Petite Academy. She married Colin Fuller on September 6, 2008, in Overland Park, Kansas. Amanda enjoyed traveling, cooking, and reading, especially the Bible. She was a fan of professional wrestling and had a passion for butterflies. She loved her cats Julio and Agusto. Amanda took pride in her Scottish Irish heritage. Amanda is survived by her parents; husband; brother Tommy McCleary; sister Jennifer (Adam) Heins; Grandmother Mildred Ford and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Amber was a TSSUS board member at the time of her death. She was looking forward to advocating for the TS community as she had TS herself. She left behind a loving husband and beautiful daughter. (Obituary unavailable)

Andrea Eden Levey, 51, died Thursday, October 4th at UIHC of complications from an aortic dissection. Andrea was born June 5, 1967 in Boston, the daughter of Samuel and Linda Madison Levey. She was a 1985 graduate of West High School. She received her bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in special education from the University of Iowa. In 2012, Andrea received a master’s degree in literacy from Northern Illinois University. Andrea taught special education in Jacksonville, FL, Kirkland and Rockford, IL, and most recently in Davenport, IA. She began as a junior volunteer at UIHC at age 14 and was recognized for 1000 hours of service. She was a devoted daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She was actively involved in the Jewish communities in Rockford and Davenport where she was on multiple committees and taught Hebrew School and Sunday School.

On February 21, 1988, in Kalamazoo, MI, Ashley was born. On March 22, 2013, in South Bend, Ashley married Lusman Roblero. Ashley is survived by her husband, mother and step-father, Carrie and Matt Burns; father and step-mother, Carl and Irina McMillan; brothers, Matthew McMillan, Austin McMillan, and Dawson McMillan; sister and brother-in-law, Dannielle and Alex Lopez; sister, Alicia McMillan; grandparents, Fred and Renee Wolf, Peggy Davis, Catherine Brodsky, and Jim and Merva Zaleski; nieces, Hailey, Chloe, and Brianna; nephews, Stephen, Hunter, and Tate; and Ashley and Lusman’s pets, dogs, Nacho, Lily, and Lola; cats, Dave and Munchkin; parakeet, Blue. Ashley was proceeded in death by her sister, Angel McMillan and uncle, Tate Switzer. Ashley and Lusman are the owners of L & A Waterproofing.

Ashlie Nicole Dansby Duplechin, 33, passed away Sunday, October 11, 2015. The apple of our eye she never met a stranger. She loved her life and all the children she taught at school. Ashlie was born in Lake Charles and lived here all of her life. She graduated from LaGrange High School and received her teaching degree from McNeese State University. Ashlie taught school at R.W. Vincent and J.J. Johnson. She worked as a phlebotomist and she was a graduate of Stage One. She was a member of the Turner’s Syndrome Society. Ashlie was known to her friends as a fashion diva who loved to shop. She was very devoted to her family and loved them with all of her heart. Ashlie was a loving and devoted wife, daughter, sister and friend. 

Aubree Renee Fenske was born Aug. 21, 2002, in St. Paul, the daughter of Michael and Karie (Anderson) Fenske. Aubree attended Eastview High School, 10th grade, in Apple Valley. She was the center of life for her family and everyone she met. Her loving and unsurpassed energy constantly sprang forth to bless everyone. Aubree had absolute love for everyone and everything. Her dream was to be a veterinarian to help all the animals. She can now follow her dream in God’s hands and fly free with the butterflies. Aubree formed deep relationships that will remain unmatched. She had a rare gift of making every single person she encountered feel special and of greatest importance to her. Aubree constantly had a smile on her face and her laughter always brightened everyone’s day. We will sorrowfully miss the purity of this precious soul.

Aubrey Jo Groover, age 41, passed away Thursday, May 19, 2016 of ovarian cancer in the home of her parents in Chappell Hill, Texas. Aubrey Jo was born September 27, 1974 in Temple, Texas to parents Kathy Jo (Hervey) and Larry Groover. Upon receiving a master’s degree in education, she became employed as a Neonatal Intensive Care Nurse for nineteen years. She loved her job and enjoyed working with the babies. She was a member of Brenham’s First Baptist Church. Aubrey loved to study her Bible, to travel with her friends, butterfly sisters, and indulge her love of children as often as she could. Despite her illness and even during her last days her deep, strong faith in God carried her and gave her much joy.

Barbara Ann DeRoo, age 72, of Madison, WI, passed away at Attic Angel Health Center on October 23, 2020. Barbara was born November 20, 1947 in Muncie, IN to Eleanor (Rush) and Robert F. DeRoo. Barbara grew up in Elmhurst, IL and graduated from York High School in 1966. She attended Oberlin College before graduating from Northern Illinois University. Barbara worked for over 30 years at the Department of Children and Family Services in Chicago, IL. She moved to Madison in 2015, residing at the Attic Angel Health Center for the last five years. Barbara enjoyed reading, classical music and talking with friends. At Attic Angel she participated in all activities and maintained her good humor, kindness and optimism despite her declining health. She particularly enjoyed church services as well as having an Angel volunteer read to her. Barbara was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her brother, R. Lawrence DeRoo and sister-in-law, Patricia Kokotailo of Madison. Barbara is also survived by her cousins whom she was very close to, Rebecca (David) Pritchard of Sumter, SC, Richard (Beth) Rush of Lincoln University, PA, Sarah Rush of Glendale, CA, Mark Rush of Gainesville, FL and Carol Hacker of Pleasant Hill, CA. Barbara remained very attached to co-workers, friends and church members in Elmhurst and Chicago, as well as friends in the Turners Syndrome Society. Barbara's optimism and loving nature will be missed by all. 

Bobbi Jo Bernau, age 41, was born March 26, 1975, to Allen and Linda Bernau in Kalispell, Montana. BJ passed away March 8, 2017, after a courageous three-year battle with cancer, surrounded by her loving family. Bobbi attended Evergreen school and graduated from Flathead High School in 1993. She continued her studies at FVCC. Bobbi worked as a CNA doing home health care and loved the work she did helping others. Having Turner’s Syndrome, Bobbi was an advocate for getting Turner’s recognized for the city and state making February Turner’s Syndrome Awareness Month. She cherished friends, which included her Turner’s Syndrome Sisters from around the world. The butterfly is the symbol of hope for girls with Turner’s and has long since been her inspiration. Bobbi will be lovingly remembered as an outgoing, cheerful, positive soul. She treasured spending time with family and friends. Bobbi would spend countless hours driving her “AWSMANT” SUBARU around town shopping and finding the best deals! As she was often heard saying, “it was only three dollars!” Spending time at the family cabin on Duck Lake, riding on the Harley with her dad wearing her Captain America stars and stripes helmet, boating, camping, fishing, and going to the movies were some of her favorite activities.

Bronwyn J. Davies “Winnie” of Eastampton, NJ passed away on November 10, 2015 at Penn Presbyterian Hospital at the age of 60. Bronwyn was born on February 1, 1955 in Camden, New Jersey to Marilynn (Barr Pearson) and C. William Davies. She grew up in Burlington Twp. and went to BTHS, later attending BCHS, where she graduated in 1973. She continued her education at Stockton State College (currently Stockton University). Winnie loved books and was Principal Library Assistant at the Burlington County Library, where she had worked for 39 years. She was very active in her union, serving as Chief Shop Steward at CWA Local #1036. Her petite stature belied her fierce negotiating skills. Although Wyn was a life-long resident of South Jersey, she was an enthusiastic traveler who especially loved cruises with her family. Her Welsh name led her to visit her grandfather’s hometown in Wales and meet some long-lost cousins. She frequently flew to Costa Rica and many parts of the US to visit relatives and friends. And when they visited New Jersey, she was always eager to be their tour guide. Another passion of Winnie’s was music, especially the Beatles. She took great joy in attending the outdoor concert series at BCL with her family. She was a member of the Unitarian Universalist Church in Cherry Hill, NJ. “Just when the caterpillar thought the world was over, She became a butterfly.”

Mrs. Carol S. Walters, 71, of Fairfax, VA died at Fairfax Hospital on Sunday, June 7, 2015. A native of Greensburg, PA, she was the wife of Charles M. Walters (graduated from Williams High School in 1966), who survives and the daughter of Clyde and Mary Emery Yeskey, both deceased. She was a retired purchaser for the Fairfax County School System Maintenance Department. Carol was a member of Fairfax United Methodist Church and The Red Hat Club. In addition to her husband of the home, survivors include a son, Stephen Walters of the home; sister, Mary Lou Edenbo and husband George of Pennsylvania; and mother-in-law, Louise B. Walters of Burlington. She was a member of the Turner Syndrome Society.

Cassandra Mae “Cassie” Garrett, 34, beloved Daughter, Sister and Granddaughter, passed peacefully and went to her heavenly home on Friday, December 18, 2020. Cassie was born February 2, 1986, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma to Alferd and Sondra Garrett (Miller). She grew up attending Tuttle Schools where she was a national championship cheerleader and friend to all. Involved in FFA, Cassie was a FFA Sweetheart, officer for two years, and loved showing pigs that she raised with her daddy. She loved her classmates and proudly graduated from Tuttle High School in 2005. Following high school, Cassie began her college career at the University of Central Oklahoma where she was a member of the Alpha Gamma Delta sorority. While at UCO, Cassie also enjoyed being involved in the RLCC honors program and school pride program. She transferred to the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma, where she earned her degree with a double major in Early Childhood and Deaf Education. With a servant’s heart and a special love for children, the Lord used her gifts in many roles including teaching preschool and Kindergarten in public and private schools, serving as Children’s Pastor at the House of Restoration, and fulfilling roles in both the retail and restaurant industries. No matter the role, she was always drawn to serving others. Cassie had a pure love for her family and especially her German Shepherd "Bear." She had a special relationship with her parents, siblings and extended family. Her nieces and nephews were her world, and she loved them as though they were her own children. She was proud to have accomplished independence by purchasing her first home and car and was loving her work as a server and cashier at Swadley’s BBQ. She always enjoyed the annual Garrett family reunion at Lake Texoma - especially breakfasts with her cousins and fishing with her daddy. She loved watching hallmark movies with her momma, spending time with her friends, taking Bear to dog parks, scrapbooking, and serving in children's ministry. She had many dear friends with whom she had always been in contact with throughout the years. Cassie was also a devoted member of Yukon House of Restoration Church. Cassie was faithful to her Heavenly Father and leaned into her faith in both triumphs and when facing obstacles. As a result of this, she has touched people from around the world in more than 40 countries.

Cheryl Lynn Foust, 62, of Denton, Texas passed away on Sunday June 25, 2017. She was born in Connecticut to Charles and Mary (Reil) Tallman on Sept. 15, 1954. She married Glenn Leroy Foust in Canterbury, CT. in May 1990. She will be laid to rest beside Glenn, and son, Jeremy, who both predeceased her. Cheryl was a loving sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She is survived by her mother Mary (Reil) Tallman and sister Beth Kelley of Ramstein, Germany, brother Charles Tallman of Jeffersonton, VA, daughter-in[1]law Nga Foust and granddaughter Julie Foust of Denton, Texas. Cheryl attended Dr. Helen Baldwin School in Canterbury, CT., Windham High School in Willimantic, CT., and Southern Connecticut State University in New Haven, CT. She retired in 2009 from the State of Connecticut Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services where she worked as a Community Clinician and Social Worker. She also served in the United States Army and was honorably discharged as a Staff Sergeant. Cheryl was a founding member of the Turner Syndrome Society of the United States (TSSUS) and a past President. She will be remembered as a friend and leader amongst her Turners peers. Connie Jo Garland 57, Brownsburg, passed away May 1, 2021. She received her bachelor’s degree from Indiana University and was a research assistant at IU Health and Riley Hospitals. She was a member of the Avon United Methodist Church and member and past president of the Turner’s Syndrome Society of the US. Her father Charles Thomas Cox preceded her in death. Connie was the loving and very proud mother of Martina Sutton, her daughter she personally adopted in Bulgaria. Connie was a member of a very large and loving family. Other survivors include her husband John Garland Jr.; mother Shirley Cox; brother Timothy Cox (wife Suzanne); sister Cathy Babcock (husband Bruce). Debra "Debbie" Simon Guidry, 53, a native of Chackbay and resident of Thibodaux, went to be with her Savior Tuesday, May 21, 2013. She is survived by her husband, Joseph "Joe" Guidry; son, Jonathon Guidry; daughter, Kelli Elizabeth Guidry; grandson, Esaias Borne; mother, Elaine Larrabee Foret and husband, Norris J. Foret Sr.; brother, Ulysse "Joey" Simon and wife Mindy; nieces, Cammie Simon, Taylor, Cierra and Alexis Dorsey; and nephew, Bennett Nuccio. She was preceded in death by her son, Blake Borne; father, Remy J. Simon Jr.; sisters, Anne Simon Nuccio and Linda and Donna Simon; and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Remy Simon Sr. and Harry and Vivian Clement. She was a loving wife, daughter, friend and mother of three. She enjoyed her family and volunteering at her church. She worked at Audubon Guest House for 10 years. She loved doing God's work here on earth, and now she is enjoying eternal joy with her Heavenly Father. She will be greatly missed.

Debra earned her law degree from the Western New England College of Law and practiced law in Connecticut for several years before moving back to New York. She spent her career working for New York State for 20 years, and recently retired as a legal assistant for the Office for People With Developmental Disabilities. She was very active in St. Edward the Confessor Church, serving in the choir, lector, and as a greeter. She was the founder and past president of the Turner Syndrome Society of the Capital District.

Diane Kay Foster, 39, passed from this life to her eternal home on January 25, 2011. Diane will be dearly missed by her family and all those that had the privilege of truly knowing her. Diane was employed by Florida State University as a librarian and had worked in the library system for 15 years. Diane was a lifelong resident of Tallahassee and graduated from Leon high school, received a bachelor's degree from FSU and also a Master's degree in library science from FSU. Diane loved genealogy and became very skilled at researching family history for her family as well as others. Diane was a faithful follower of Christ and always strived to keep God first in her life. Despite obstacles in her life, her faith helped her to succeed and keep a positive outlook on life. Diane is survived by her mother, Linda Foster, her father, Frank Foster, and her brother, Eric Foster (Heather Foster, wife). Diane was adored by her 2 nieces and 1 nephew. They have many wonderful memories of their playful Aunt Diane - from swinging on the monkey bars to having pretend tea parties. Memories of her life will truly be treasured.

Donna Kay McDonald passed away at her home on September 26, 2022, after a lengthy illness. She was born on June 28, 1955, in Bartlesville, Oklahoma to C.B. McDonald Jr and Phyllis McDonald. Donna suffered from Turner’s syndrome, which included cognitive challenges and small stature. Donna enjoyed a fun and full life. She lived in several group homes as a child and settled in Bartlesville to live in our mother's condo in the grove with her care givers. Donna loved to swim, fish, birthdays, Braum's ice cream, traveling, working puzzles, and staying up late at night. She liked to shop at Dollar Tree and the bookstores. Although she could neither read nor write, she loved books. Her truly favorite things were butterflies. She loved watching them and had them pictured on many of her shirts and other items. Donna liked everyone. She would ask you when your birthday was and could remember it forever. She could even tell you what day your birthday would be on several years in the future. She worked at the sheltered workshop in Bartlesville for a number of years where she cleaned ceramic items for firing and sorted baby clothes. She loved traveling to Idaho to visit family, going in the jet boat and fishing. She attended her brother's wedding in Albuquerque, New Mexico. Donna was preceded in death by her mother and father; her McDonald and Fisher grandparents; and brother, Charles Burnett McDonald III. She is survived by her sister, Susan Mahan and Susan's husband Jim of Lewiston, Idaho, uncles Mike Mahan (Krista) of Walla Walla, WA. and David Mahan of Lewiston ID, nieces, Malorie Hinkins, Spokane, WA, Lexie Flinner, Walla Walla, WA. And Nicole Jones of Milwaukee, Wis., sister-in-law, Connie McDonald of Albuquerque, N.M. And Mary McDonald of Bartlesville. The family would like to thank all of Donna's care givers in both Vinita and Bartlesville for the excellent care she received during her lifetime. Jennifer Beth Mazer, 50, died unexpectedly on February 1, 2022, in Greensboro, North Carolina, after suffering an aortic dissection. She was welcomed into Heaven by her father, Charles, who preceded her in death by almost 20 years. Beth was born on December 31, 1971, in Lubbock, Texas, but from age 8 months was raised in Texarkana, TX. She attended Texas High, completed a BS in biology at Austin College, and went to medical school at the UT Health Science Center at San Antonio. Born with Turner syndrome, a chromosomal condition, she saw pediatric specialists her entire childhood and aspired to help other kids by becoming a pediatrician herself. She lovingly cared for patients in Palestine, Nacogdoches, and San Antonio, TX, before moving her talents and her family to NC in May 2019.

Gloria J. Emery, 65, Minot died Sunday March 31, 2019 in a Minot hospital with her family at her side. Gloria J. Emery was born May 24, 1953 to Vernon and Clarice (Fleming) Haverluck in Minot, ND. She was raised and educated in Minot, graduating in 1971. She was employed for a time at Minot Headstart, the Tempo Department Store and Minot AFB Commissary. She was united in marriage to Charles Emery on August 20, 1977 in Minot. Daniel, born August 10, 1982, joined the family September 29, 1982 through adoption. During Charles’ military career, they were stationed in Minot until February 1987 when they transferred to the United Kingdom. They returned to Minot in December 1990 and have made Minot their home ever since. They enjoyed 41 years together. Gloria was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved to travel, especially to Walt Disney World. Gloria loved to spend numerous hours celebrating her love of Christ in a small Bible study group. Her major vice was a love of Starbucks Green Tea and Lemonade – NO Sweetener. She was a ferocious competitor at any board or card game (watch out for the flying cards when she lost!). The Vikings were her team, but caused her angst when they would choke at season’s end. She kept a very organized home and don’t dare mess the perfectly aligned towels. Red pepper flakes were generously applied to almost all foods. You could always find a packet “borrowed” from a pizza place. She thoroughly enjoyed taking her grandchildren to the zoo and sharing her love of animals or just taking an afternoon walk at the zoo with her husband. She “hated” her grandpuppies but would overserve them with cheese slices and Beggin Strips. She could be counted on to have a tin of chocolates in her purse at all times for the grandchildren.

Jenna Thompson Hernandez, age 38, died suddenly on Friday, March 23, 2018. Her devoted husband, PJ, was by her side. Jenna graduated from St. Elizabeth High School in 1998, and she received her Bachelor's degree and MBA from Goldey-Beacom College. Jenna worked at Lyons Insurance Company. She was an avid Philadelphia sports fan and still carried the glow of the Eagles Super Bowl win. Playing softball was one of Jenna's passions. She played softball for several different teams over the years, and her teammates loved her competitiveness, her love of the game, and her heart. She was special to all of them. She also played dodge ball and loved to skydive. Jenna was the light of everywhere she went, and her incredible smile and loving personality will always be remembered by everyone. Joy Crespi Liebeskind, age 65 of Cheshire entered into rest at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in Manhattan, NY after a long illness. She was the loving wife of Stephen S. Liebeskind. Joy was born on August 12, 1952 in Rockville Centre, NY, daughter of Hope (Leeger) Pinkerton and the late David Crespi. A caring and devoted mother and wife, Joy was also an advocate for children with special needs and their families. Joy was the Statewide Coordinator for the CT Medical Home Initiative at FAVOR in Wethersfield and previously worked as a grant coordinator for CT Lifespan Respite Coalition. In addition to her husband, Stephen of Cheshire and her mother, Hope Pinkerton of Yuma, AZ, Joy is survived by her beloved children, Joshua Liebeskind of New Haven and Sarah Liebeskind of Watertown. She is the sister of Tony Crespi and his wife, Cheryl of Meriden, Scott Crespi and his wife, Becky of West Hartford, Wendy Morgan of Yuma, AZ, Louisa Crespi of Tokyo, Japan, and Jodie Silver and her husband, Michael of Las Vegas, NV. Joy also leaves her step-mother, Ruth Crespi of Bloomfield and several cherished nieces and nephews.

Julia Nicole Lambert, 26, of West Simsbury, CT, beloved daughter of Wayne and Diane Lambert, passed away peacefully on December 21, 2017 due to complications following heart surgery. Born in Kansas City, MO on Valentine's Day in 1991, Julia was a very kind and compassionate person who cared for many people and also loved all of God's creatures great and small. She was working toward a career that would allow her to work daily with animals. Julia had volunteered in the past with nature centers, a cat shelter, and recently had been an equestrian exercise rider. Julia was a 2009 graduate of Simsbury High School. She received her Associate in Science degree in 2012 from Tunxis Community College and her Bachelor of Arts degree in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology in 2015 from the University of Connecticut. Julia loved to care for her animals, play board and video games with her friends and family, was an ardent Yankees fan, and a whiz at Jeopardy and any kind of animal facts. She loved to learn about old world cultures and history, Japanese culture, and Australia and New Zealand. She was an early reader and was constantly reading a book, taking one with her wherever she went. Julia is survived by her loving parents, her brother, Matthew, maternal grandmother, Lila Boynton Bentley, several aunts, uncles, and cousins. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial donations be made in Julia's name to the Turner Syndrome Society or to the Connecticut Cat Connection.

Julie Ann Bardle. On Feb 7, 2013, after a courageous battle following heart surgery, Julie was called home to be with Jesus. Loving daughter of Randall (Kellie) Bardle and Marilyn (Ronald) Kister; dear sister of Janet Bardle and Travis Cobb; cherished granddaughter, niece, great-niece and friend to so many. She will be most remembered by her hugs.

Karen Sue Abramson, 66, died suddenly on May 18, 2019, following a brief illness. Karen leaves her mother, Marilyn, sisters Kathy and Alana, nieces, and nephews (Cheryl, Jonathon, David, Hannah, and Sydney), several aunts, cousins and many close friends, including members of this congregation. She is preceded in death by her beloved father, Armand. Karen was born in Louisville, KY and was raised in several locations including New York, Israel, Missouri and finally Ann Arbor, MI. She graduated from Michigan State University with a B.S. in education. She moved to Houston to teach first grade in the Houston public school system where she taught for over 30 years. She was also a long-time Sunday School teacher. Despite her own physical disabilities, Karen spent much of her free time as an avid and enthusiastic volunteer in Jewish social services. Karen was devoted to the study of Judaism and living a rich Jewish life. Karen loved spending time with family, playing word games, playing cards with friends and other social activities in her living community. Karen inspired her family and friends by her kindness, openness, and loving acceptance of everyone who crossed her path. In lieu of flowers, donations could be made to the Turner's Syndrome Society of the United States and to the Cochlear Implant Awareness Foundation.

Kellie Blaise Beyer died unexpectedly of aortic dissection September 24, 2018. She was 31. Born April 8, 1987 Kellie was the daughter of Marcia and Andrew Anderson. She grew up in Atlanta, Ga, where she enjoyed riding and gymnastics. Kellie graduated from Blessed Trinity High School, completed her degree in humanistic studies at St. Mary's College of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana. She was employed at Altus for one year, prior to study at St. Mary's School of Law in San Antonio, earning her jurisprudence in 2013. She worked at the offices of Parent Law, followed by Ecke & Poling and The Beyer Law Firm. Kellie married David Conrad Beyer July 16, 2016 at St. Patrick's Cathedral in Fort Worth and continued practicing at The Beyer Law Firm in San Antonio, Texas. Moving to Fort Worth in late 2017 where they continued their legal practice. Kellie embraced living in Fort Worth. As a Provisional member of The Junior League, she was thrilled to meet new people and learn of opportunities to become involved in her "new hometown". She and Conrad enjoyed travel and looked forward to life's adventures together. Kellie's sincerity and sparkle touched the lives of many.

KELLIE LYNN FERNANDEZ, 28, of The Woodlands went to be with The Lord on February 29, 2008 in Houston, TX. She was born August 4, 1979 in Houston, TX. She is survived by her parents, Debbie and Larry Browne and Tony Fernandez; brother, Kyle Fernandez; grandparents, Henry and Polly Mote, Antonio and Carmen Fernandez; stepbrothers and sisters, Aaron Browne, Aimee Falgout and husband Clint and Andrea Browne; numerous other relatives and friends. Kellie graduated from Kingwood High School, class of '98, where she was a member of the Madrigal and the All-State Choir. She was a member of Sweet Assurance Ensemble, the National Charity League, the Continental Singers and the Adult Choir and Praise Team at Crossroads Baptist Church. She was a graduate of Houston Baptist University and was a 5th grade teacher at Whispering Pines Elementary School, Humble ISD. 

Kenitra Sherrell Allen, 46, of Indianapolis, passed away May 19, 2019.

Kimberlee T. ONeill, a resident of Melrose, died suddenly on Thursday, May 5, 2011 at the Melrose-Wakefield Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Kimberlee was born in Melrose on August 9, 1972, one of three children of John E. ONeill and Linda M. (Fidalgo) ONeill. Kim was raised in Melrose with her two brothers and graduated from the Winsor School in Boston with the Class of 1990. She received her Bachelors degree from Beloit College in Wisconsin, majoring in French and Psychology. Kim obtained her Masters degree in Education from Simmons College and began her teaching journey which would bring her around the world. An independent and strong person, Kim traveled alone to many parts of the world. She taught English to students in South Korea for 4 years, studied in France, and toured across Asia and Europe by herself. Kim was a gifted writer, and every year enjoyed entering the National Novel Writing Month challenge to compose a novel in less than 30 days. She will be forever remembered and admired for her talents with languages and as a writer.

Kristen L. Huge, 44 of Huntley, passed away suddenly on Tuesday evening, February 10, 2015 at Advocate Sherman Hospital in Elgin. She was born January 28, 1971 in San Diego, California, the daughter of Ernest Carl and Susan (McMillen) Huge. She received a bachelor’s degree in psychology and spent most of her working career in education, teaching special education and those with special needs. She possessed a servant’s heart and enjoyed giving to others. She enjoyed reading and creative writing, was spiritual and loved theology.

Kristen Marie Hersey, of Rosharon, passed away on Sunday, July 30, 2017 in Houston, Texas at the age of 33.  She was born on January 28, 1984 in Houston to James and Lisa Foote. Kristen was a special gift to the world.  She cared for so many people and made friends wherever she went.  Kristen dedicated her life to helping others and was always willing to help even when exhausted. Kristen worked as a nurse which was more of a calling than a job, she cherished being able to help others bring life into the world and had pure joy for every baby born. She loved her children more than anything, taught them to pray and thank God for all of our gifts and made sure they knew how much they are loved.

Sunday July 5, 2020, our family lost a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother, and wife.  She will be greatly missed by all.  Laura Ann Pruett was called home peacefully in her sleep, amongst those that loved her. Laura Hamel met Dean Pruett, her husband of 30 years,  at the youth group of Saint Andrews Episcopal church.   When they met Dean was 16 years old, while Laura was 18.  They met  while they were still in High School, in Livonia Michigan.  They were married in that same church eight years later and started their married life together in a small one-bedroom apartment on the banks of the Detroit river.  In 1990 She moved with her husband back to Houston Texas were Laura’s parents already resided, to complete her college education.  She graduated from the University of Houston’s School of business with a Bachelors degree in Operations Management three years later.  She was a officer of Delta Pi Sigma    business  Fraternity,  And vice-President of the Houston chapter of the Turner Syndrome Society of the United States.  After completing her education she then took the next six years to foster/and or adopt five children  (Mercedes, Bryant, Stacy, Ruby and Tranesha).  In 2005, Mercedes Villagas was adopted and became Mercedes Pruett. After Mercedes adoption, Laura went back to work and worked for 20 years serving as a court clerk for the Harris county criminal courts in Houston Texas.  Laura is survived  by her Husband Dean, Her Parents Richard and Francis Hamel, Her two sisters Sue and Karen, her brother Rick, her 5 children, and 15 grandchildren. Her sisters in the church Knew her as a kind and loving friend.   She was known to have a kind word of encouragement for everyone she met.  Her and her husband’s house was known as one of great hospitality.  She was referred to by some of the younger members of the church as their second mother.  People could come to her house and always find waiting for them an open door, a plate of food, and a listening ear. Her advice, kindness and cooking will be greatly missed, especially among the younger members of the church. "Princess Leyha Jane Bartels," 6, of Brady, passed away Nov. 30, 2012, at her home after a courageous three-year battle with cancer. "Princess Leyha" lived in the Brady community and was currently a kindergartener in the Brady school system. Leyha's contagious smile and positive attitude spread to the people around her. She had a love for life that no one had ever seen. She always had compassion for those around her. Lehya's brother Hunter was a large part of her life and she always loved and protected him. She was the leader of her huge group of cousins, and everybody's best friend. She also had a special friend, Randin Hood, a soldier deployed to Afghanistan who "adopted" her.

Linda June (Krafcsik) Keely, 64, formerly of Newtown, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly on March 29, 2020, as the result of a massive cerebral hemorrhage sustained from a fall. Linda grew up in Newtown and attended Bridgeport School of Nursing for one year before moving to Salina, Kansas to finish her nursing degree. Upon graduation from Marymount College, she moved to Kansas City to pursue her profession in nursing which ultimately led to a very fulfilling 37-year career. Linda decided she wanted to be nurse when she was in sixth grade and was a cardiac patient at Yale New Haven Hospital. She was enamored by the work of those attending to her. She retired in 2016 due to a progressive hearing loss. She was generous to all with monetary funds and/or by donation of her time to volunteer activities, which usually revolved around medical needs of the underserved. Linda had Turner Syndrome (TS) which presented its own set of challenges throughout her life. She managed numerous medical issues, one being hearing loss associated with this condition, with commitment to maintain her health and enjoy a full life. She was very active in the local KC Turner Syndrome chapter and loved attending the national Turner conferences. She enjoyed spending time with long lasting friends, many of them being fellow TS gals who were dear to her. She also maintained numerous friendships from childhood, college, and past nursing jobs via phone calls, text messages, and frequent lunch dates. All of Linda’s friends meant a great deal to her and deeply enriched her life. Linda loved to travel and took many trips with friends as often as she was able to over the years. She was disappointed the trips she had planned for this spring/summer had been canceled or postponed due to COVID-19. Linda loved to learn new things and had recently taken sign language classes and clarinet classes. She had taken knitting lessons for many years. She routinely worked out with a trainer to maintain her health, strength, and balance. Linda married Jon Keely on October 4, 1980. They had no children of their own, but Linda adored her niece and nephew and attended all major events that marked their lives. She was always interested in their lives and accomplishments. She oversaw and managed her mother’s health for 2 ½ years when she was failing from cancer. Linda’s nursing skills and compassion were invaluable during this time.

Linda Tremain-Agnew 67, of Indianapolis, passed away November 30, 2014. Linda was a graduate of LCHS, attended BSU and retired from Ft. Benjamin Harrison Finance Center after 25 yrs. She was a member of Epworth United Methodist Church and a 50 yr. member of Lawrence O.E.S. #384. She was a member of the Turner Syndrome Society.

Lois Ann Geister, age 61, of Grand Rapids, passed away Sunday, April 27, 2014. She was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Lillian Cypher. She is survived by her husband, Monty; children, Amanda Le'Anne Brunzell, Sarah Heyoung Geister; brothers, Tom Cypher, Richard Cypher, Michael Cypher; grandchildren, Anija, Debra.

Mary was born on November 3, 1956, to Boyd (Buddy) and Dorothy Knetsar. She married Charles Wait on August 15, 1981. Mary spent much of her life as a homemaker but also worked as a school library aide and a Disney World cast member. Mary was devoted to her family and friends. She found great pleasure in accompanying Charles in his many pursuits and hobbies and through the years they truly became the best of friends. Mary loved volunteering at Frost Elementary and Lunches of Love. She was the epitome of a good neighbor and because of her personality she met very few strangers. Many will miss her loving smile and open heart. She was a member of the Turner Syndrome Society.

Michelle M. Wilson of Tomball, TX passed away on January 10, 2010 following a three year battle with cancer. Born in New York on August 24, 1957 to Howard and Terri Wilson, she is survived by her loving family including two brothers James G. Wilson and wife Gail, Michael F. Wilson and wife Erin; one sister Susan Willis and husband Dana. Michelle was the proud "Aunt LiLi" of Hunter Wilson, Ian and Griffen Willis, Kristin and Clint Wilson and Brett Hodges Jr. Michelle was the Executive Director of TSSUS from 2005-2007

Natalie Marie Brobin age 58, passed away January 9th, 2022. Preceded in death by father, Jim Brobin; lifelong friend, Sally McCoy. Survived by children, Emily, Nicole and Max Bonfig; mother, Sandra Brobin; siblings, Colleen Brobin Fox, Chris Brobin and Jimbo Brobin; many other family members and countless friends. She grew up in New Brighton, MN and thrived in the swimming and diving community. She was a proud graduate of the University of Minnesota. She lived and raised her children in Maplewood, MN for 29 years and moved to Oceanside, CA in September 2020. There, she enjoyed her days writing, reading and walking on the beach. Natalie was driven by love for her friends and family and made a positive impact with each personal connection. She had the heart of a volunteer and leaves a strong legacy of advocacy. Natalie dedicated years of her life to serving the TS community and TSSUS.

Noel Marie Leblanc. Our daughter left this earthly planet on Wednesday, October 3,2018 after a lengthy battle with a host of diagnoses. She was born with Turner syndrome, which occurs in one in 2,000 female babies. TS is a chromosomal condition that describes girls and women with common features, physical traits and medical conditions that are caused by the complete or partial absence of a chromosome. She has two brothers, Jason of Winter Park and Gordon from Longwood, and two nieces, Mary and Ellie. One nephew, Marshall, is in the U S Army. She is survived by her father, Leroy LeBlanc of Winter Park and Irene and Bernie Chandler of Mount Dora (mother and stepfather).

Nythar was a graduate of St. Margaret's Academy and the University of Minnesota. She was a free spirit who faced many challenges in life with indomitable courage, an example to all. She was a poet, musician, singer, dancer, and performer. Though small of stature, she knew how to make her voice heard, and she spent a lifetime determinedly fighting for the rights and recognition of the marginalized. She was a force to be reckoned with and the life of every party. She saw light and love in everyone and delighted in making people laugh. She was known for her glamour and creative dress. She wore many hats, often at the same time. She loved animals and all creatures. Nythar was a pioneer and a visionary and a woman of many accomplishments. Early on, she was instrumental in the fight to eliminate segregation in newspaper want ads that were divided into "Jobs for Men" or "Jobs for Women." Because she had Turner's syndrome, she testified at the Minnesota legislature regarding nuclear power and genetic mutations and participated in breakthrough diabetes studies at the University of Minnesota. The DFL party honored her with a special commendation for her volunteerism and activism. She had a strong Catholic faith but admired other religions and cultures. She was inspired by Native American culture and studied the Ojibwe language. She danced her heart out at powwows. She was a longtime companion to her mother. Nythar was proud of her ancestral roots harkening back to Ireland's Sheehy Mountains and the "fierce fighters" who came from there. It was a story she told often. She herself was the sweetest Irish rose there ever was. 

Samantha Marie Holmes was born on March 16, 1982 in Fort Sill, Oklahoma to Harry (Butch) Holmes and Susan Bert Holmes. Samantha passed away on May 2, 2019. She graduated from MacArthur Highschool in Lawton, Oklahoma. Samantha was a member of the Kiowa Tribe. Samantha was a retail associate for Walmart Stores Inc. since February 2002. She excelled in customer service for the cellular wireless department and the photo lab. Samantha had a huge love for photography. She made friends easily and was loved by her work family. Samantha loved animals, especially her sweet dog Sadie Mae and cats Minnie Meow, Gary, and Paige. Samantha was born with Turner Syndrome and defied many odds and potential setbacks, living an extraordinary and full life up to her death. She enjoyed photography, nature, music, Mexican food, The Walking Dead, human rights, Led Zepplin, Lady Gaga, and her family. She was kind, generous, big-hearted, stubborn, and learned early on to stand up for herself. She will be missed dearly but will live on in our hearts forever. Rest easy Sweet Butterfly and fly high with the angels.

On Tuesday, July 23, 2019 Sandy Rae Trevino, loving daughter, sister, niece and aunt, passed away peacefully at the age of 42. Sandy was born March 7, 1977 in Lewisville, TX and was raised in Round Rock, TX by her parents Sylvia Bernal and Harold E. Kennemer. She graduated from Round Rock High School. In her short years on this earth, Sandy made many friends. Sandy is survived by her mother, Sylvia Bernal; step-father, Harold E. Kennemer; sister, Lisa M. Beyer; brother-in-law, Rick Beyer; nephews, Robert R. Trinidad and Nathaniel R. Beyer; aunts, Lydia Bernal and husband Tom Simpson and Becky Butler; uncles, Ramon Bernal, Fred Bernal and wife Sylvia, Daniel Bernal and wife Jamie and Daniel Helker; many cousins and a host of friends who were loved by Sandy and loved her dearly. Sara Nestor, 42, London, KY., passed away Friday, Feb. 27, 2015, at UK Medical Center in Lexington. She was an ICU nurse with Saint Joseph London and loved and cherished her family and friends. Survivors include her husband, Joseph Nestor; parents, Michael Cheek and Laura Cogley; a sister, Stephanie Cheek Parks and husband, Michael and their children of St. John, Ind.; grandmother, June Cheek; four grandchildren, Joseph, Seth, Hannah and Jay-Lynn Wall, plus a host of other family and friends to mourn her passing.

Sarah Anne D'Agata, 13 of Wolcott, our beloved daughter, was born on October 9, 1995 and passed away peacefully on Friday, (June 26, 2009) with her Mommy and Daddy by her side. Sarah was a songbird who enjoyed singing "This Little Light of Mine" and "Old MacDonald Had a Farm" and a budding actress who stole the spotlight in a summer school theatre production in which she proudly played a beautiful bumblebee. She was active and loved being in school. A recent graduate of Waklee Elementary, Sarah happily joined Tyrrell Middle School in Wolcott. She excelled in her Life Skills class with music, gym and cooking being her favorite subjects. Sarah showed unmatched courage as she faced her medical challenges and was always able to find the rainbow beyond the clouds. Sarah was an inspiration to everyone she encountered and impacted countless peoples' lives with her overwhelming joy and happiness! Our miraculous butterfly, strong and beautiful, has left her cocoon and taken flight- Sarah-Bean, you will always live in our hearts. We love you and miss you dearly!

She was a beautiful, funny, smart and talented young woman that had her whole life ahead of her. She was a Family Girl through and through. She spent most of her time with her family. She was antisocial media most of the time. She never spent the night with other girls or went to camp. She even got mad at me when she was 6 for “abandoning” her at VCB for half a day. She was homeschooled her entire school life. She was with us 24/7 99% of her life. She would even go on boring errands with G-ma and mom. Sarah loved all types of music, dancing, singing and acting. She loved all animals and could not pass a pooch without giving it love, The Moon, wolves, nature were close to her heart. She collected Nutcrackers at Christmas, loved the Bohemian style for her wardrobe, collected vinyl records and played them on her turntable. She dreamed of her own home filled with a 70’s style. She had so many books she did not have enough room for them and had read 80% of them. She completely loved her job teaching children about the arts, singing, dancing, and acting. She found out at 14 she medically was unable to have children of her own, so her students became “My Kids.” She loved them all and always wanted them to feel important and loved. From a young age to final day, she would swing on her childhood swing at night when the moon was out and sing to her hearts content. The Neighbors called her the ‘Swinging Song Bird.’ she for years took private lessons in guitar, piano, song writing and singing. She wanted to be. a ‘Star’ Those who knew her knew she was ready. There is not enough room in the world to write how much she meant to us or how much she was loved.

Sharon Marie Lattion, 56, passed away on Sunday morning, November 18, 2012 after a brief stay in the hospital. Sharon graduated from Sonoma State University in 1979 with a Bachelor's degree in Political Science. She followed that with several years of accounting courses at Sonoma State, and became a licensed CPA in 1993. Sharon worked as an accountant for the past 25 years, most recently at Mitchell & Mitchell in a job and with a team she truly enjoyed. Sharon was very active in the Turner Syndrome Society at both the local and national levels, and was a vital and influential mentor for many Turner girls and their families. Sharon leaves behind her loving husband of 27 years Bill, siblings Craig Stair of Katy, Texas, Diane Stair and Carol Stair of San Francisco, and parents Pete and Lorrine Stair of New Canaan, Connecticut. She also leaves a wealth of good memories and a belief by her family and friends that her beautiful spirit continues to shine. Sharon Mattison, 55, a resident of Warm Brook Road passed away suddenly May 31, 2018 at her home. Sharon was born in Brattleboro, VT on February 10, 1963 the daughter of James and Gloria Cavanagh. She attended school in Old Saybrook, CT and Arlington, receiving her Associate Degree from Nasson Business School in Maine. Sharon loved her home and family. She enjoyed fishing, gardening, hunting and a love for the outdoors. Sharon loved all animals, domestic and wild. She rescued and cared for a variety of them. She was a kindred spirit to many lost souls. She loved listening to classic rock, old country and blue grass. She especially loved the Grateful Dead. Sharon is survived by her husband Timothy Mattison of Arlington whom she married July 24, 1993 in West Arlington, and children: David Selleck and his wife Ashley of Middlebury, VT, Ryan Mattison and her fiance Steve of Poultney, Kimberly Smith and her fiance Travis of Sandgate.

Stephanie was born on January 12, 1970 to Richard and Sonja Bruton in Downey, California. She was a happy child, despite ongoing health struggles. Her life became even happier when she met Jim. Jim and Stephanie were set up on a blind date in the late 1980's. That date is one of Stephanie's favorite stories: She and her mother stood at the window watching for Jim. After driving up in his big, long, white car, he parked and fixed his hair before coming to the door. That was her first glimpse of Jim. They were married on March 8, 1992. After a series of life difficulties, Jim and Stephanie separated, but that is not the end of their story! God's plan brought them back together and, more importantly, back to Him. They were remarried on August 17, 2013 with Jesus at the center of their lives.

Sue Ann Harrington, of Bellingham, WA, passed away Friday, February 17, 2012 in Bellingham from complications of multiple myeloma. Sue was 55, born on January 8, 1957 in Aberdeen, WA to Thomas B. and Edrie J. (Lundgren) Harrington. Memorials may be made to the Turner Syndrome Society of the U.S.

Susan Mixon Parris, 75, died on June 16, 2018. She was born Susan Pell Mixon, April 5, 1943, in Henderson, NC, the daughter of Benjamin Harrell Mixon and Ruth Forsberg Mixon. She received an A.A. degree, a B.S. degree in Elementary Education, and an M.A. degree in Library Science. She worked as a librarian at Wayne Community College for 30+ years. While there, she met and married Eric H. Parris. They worked together on HOTLINE, where she once received the Volunteer of the Year Award, and then was honored later for 30 years of service. Eric encouraged her to further her work in computerized library science, and she received her second Master of Library Science. She and Eric enjoyed rock collecting for making jewelry, fellowship with Eric's watchmakers' group, and raising Penny and her puppies. Susan was always very much involved in volunteer activities, she participated in the choir and the women's prayer group, served as a Sunday School teacher for 20 years. Susan was born with Turner Syndrome and had to fight every day for acceptance and prove, "it's what you do with what you've got, that counts". For many years she traveled to the annual conferences of the Little People of America and the National Turner Syndrome Society. Susan's family was dear to her.

Passed away on April 26, 2015. She was born on February 10, 1958 to James and Nora Powell in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Susan had a passion for music. She worked at SMU for 10 years while studying for her Master’s Degree in Music Education. She was also a member of the Plano Music Teachers Association. She attended Horizon Unitarian Universalist Church 1641 Hebron Pkwy, Carrollton, Texas 75010 where donations can be made in Susan’s honor. Susan is survived by her mother, Nora Powell; sister, Penny Powell; and a host of other family and friends. She is preceded by her father James Powell.

Our precious daughter and beloved sister, Tammy L. Kozak, 47, formerly of Berkshire, passed into the loving arms of Jesus on February 25, 2020. Tammy fought her life’s battles with grace and faith, her anchor holding firm to the end. She is now free of pain and physical hardships, and her only tears are tears of joy because she sits in her own place at His Table. Tammy will be dearly missed, most especially by her mother, Renee A. (Kovacik) Kozak; brothers, Bill (Jamin) Kozak and John (Stephanie) Kozak; sister, Wendy Riechers; grandmother Catherine Kovacik; nieces and nephews, Eleni and Joshua Riechers; Jordyn and Koa Kozak; Koby, Abby, Charlotte, and Lily Kozak; uncles Tom (Cindy) Kovacik and Alan (Kim) Kovacik; her faithful canine companion, Onyx, who staunchly stood by her; dear friends John and Joan Stoughton; and the Turner’s Syndrome Society family, including: Robin, Laura, Maureen, Connie, Erica, Emily, Barb, Kathy, and so many more. Tammy is predeceased by her father John Kozak, her grandfather Tom Kovacik, her sister Katie Kozak, and brother-in-law Tom Riechers. Tammy loved the butterfly. Perhaps it was the absolute amazement and joy that comes from watching a butterfly, or the reality that butterflies can transform and rise beyond their horizons. It is the perfect picture of Tammy. She was a bright and shining light in life who fought tenaciously and never gave up. She was also a sweetheart full of love and kindness for all those she encountered. So when thinking of Tammy, think of her as a beautiful butterfly who has spread her wings to fly. Tracy was born on August 16, 1974 to Becky Johnson Harvey and the late Dale Harvey. She was a graduate of Broome High School, class of 1992. Tracy received her bachelor’s degree from the College of Charleston and a Master's Degree from USC. She was a Teacher at Spartanburg High School and formally taught at Broome High School for many years. Tracy will be remembered as a beloved mother, wife, daughter, sister, and educator. In addition to her mother and husband, Tracy is survived by a daughter, Bree Hayes of the home; three sisters, Paige Cook (Chip) of Myrtle Beach, Courtney Nix (Jason) of Jonesville, and Lindsey Voeller (Carey) of Pacolet; nieces and nephews, Taylor Kirby, Emily Cook, Payton Cook, Carter Nix, and Graysen Voeller.
