TSSUS Wants Your Story for a Book! PDF Print E-mail
Our Society is sponsoring a book project similar to “Chicken Soup for the Soul” which we hope will create awareness and provide support to lives touched by TS.

A Day and a Life with Turner Syndrome

Many people have wanted a book of stories for quite some time and some people have even started the project in the past but never had the time “just do it”.  Marriah Lombardo is the book project coordinator and says, “Now is your opportunity to share in the fun and not have to worry about the details of the creation of a book. We know that growing up is independent of height or even puberty!  For parents of a child diagnosed with Turner syndrome, as you already know, your child is special, and they will have a successful life.  For our TS sisters, this book would hardly be worth it, if we could not make you smile and provide company along your journey.  For the public at large, because this syndrome is relatively unknown, we would like to educated everyone, and help him or her understand situations in their life.”

Story Guidelines

1. Tell an exciting, sad or funny story about something that has happened to you or someone you know. Make sure that you introduce the character(s).

2. Tell your story in a way that will make the reader cry, laugh. Don’t leave anything out — how did you feel?

3. The story should start with action; it should include a problem, issue or situation. It should include dialogue and the character should express their feelings though the conflict or situation. It should end in a result, such as a lesson learned, a positive change or pay-off.

4. Stories have a beginning, middle and an ending that often closes with a punch, creating emotion rather than simply talking about it.

5. Above all, let it come from your HEART! Your story is important!

6.  If you feel that you have a wonderful story but are unable to write it correctly, please contact This e-mail address is being protected from spam bots, you need JavaScript enabled to view it and someone may be able to write it for you.

What we ARE NOT looking for in a story:

1. A sermon, an essay or eulogy.

2. A term paper, thesis, letter or journal entry.

3. A biography or testimonial.
